On This Date...
There would be two singles released from the album, "Brown Sugar" which would reach #1 on the Billboard Chart. The other was "Wild Horses" that got as high as #28.
I prefer the latter to the former so enjoy!

My Haul
So this is what I walked away from at this year’s Record Store Day:
1. The Clash - London Calling 2012 7"
2. Various Artists - Never to be Forgotten The Flip Side of Stax Records - Box Set
3. The Misfits - Twilight of the Dead - 12”
I had never seen this particular Misfits EP before, I knew there was a ‘Land of The Dead’ -12” with a green background but had never seen this one and I thought it was a steal at $5.99. I missed out on a copy of the ‘Walk Among Us’ 7”, but maybe one will surface sometime.
I was stoked to get the Clash 7” and the Stax box. Much of the stuff that I saw was good but it was expensive as hell so I went with the two things that I could find that I REALLY wanted.

What the all kinds of Fuck!?!?!?!
$700 for a leather covered cooler...700 American dollars for a fuckin’ cooler?!?
Are you fuckin’ kidding me?!? Who the hell is going to lay down that kind of cash to keep their sub and a sixer on ice? The people who don’t eat subs apparently.
Then again, this just seems too big and bulky for the bubbly and caviar crowd.
So, the question begs to be asked, just who the fuck is this thing being marketed to?
PS…If you think this is bullshit, see for yourself.

Gameface reunion show poster
I'll understand if you've never heard of Gameface, goddamn shame too because these guys should have blown up bigger than they did.
Fans of The Descendents and Big Drill Car would be wise to seek their albums out and give them a spin.
If you happen to catch yourself in Southern California in early June (Ink N Iron people, I'm lookin' in your direction), try to get into Pomona on Thursday, June 7th to check these guys out live. They will be playing the Glass House as part of Revelation Records 25th Anniversary Weekend.
If geography, lack of funds or a mixture of both are prohibiting you from being there, you can still get a souvenir of the show. The poster you see above is available for sale through Gameface's Band Camp website for $25.
Should be an amazing set!
